      Archie's Weird Mysteries was a fun and nostalgic read for me. Not only was it enjoyable to revisit all the gang in Riverdale, but this collection has an updated twist with all things supernatural. I especially loved the little nods (sometimes subtle, but most the time quite obvious) to predecessors in the genre - most notably the spoof on Scooby-Doo and company. The art was great and the dialogue was entertaining - what more could you ask of an Archie comic.

      Public library copy.I didn't enjoy this work, but since I wasn't a fan of the cartoon on which it's based (but hardly resembles) that should be no surprise. The stories were quite forgettable and clumsily plotted.

      The first story revolves around a spirit that has accidentally come to life due to the number of people seeing it's image. It's shown up to collect souls and it's up to the group to find a way to get rid of it permanently.The second story concerns a bogus camp for the study of paranormality. It's sort of funny.The third story is about a new student at school named Sam Squatch (Sasquatch). They have him coming from Himalaya High, although the Sasquatch is supposed to be a creature of the northwes [...]
