This is a very well written mix of Science Fantasy. I don't see these very often, but when I do, I'm usually pretty pleased. This novella didn't disappoint. We start with Elsabetha as she wakes up with pieces of her memory missing. As she struggles to regain what was lost, she must traverse through a treacherous game of intrigue, not knowing who to trust and who her enemies are. I loved the way Ms. LaFantasie pulled us in on Elsabetha's journey, feeding us small bits as the story progressed. I lo [...]

I read an ARC from the author. A feisty character wakes with very little of her memory remaining. Determined to get to grips with the past, she pushes against every obstacle to find out the truth. But a powerful man and his accomplice drop obstacles in her path, her father isn't speaking to her, and she doesn't know who to trust. True to form, she doesn't know when to give in and ignores her pain to find out that her life isn't what she first thought.

It has been so long since a book has kept me glued to the pages, I simply could not put it down! Full of mystery and wonder, this book is sure to keep you guessing what will happen next in Elsabetha's life as she tries to put the pieces together. The book was so well detailed I could see it playing out like a movie in my mind! I can not wait for the next installment in this captivating series, I am hooked!!!! Bravo Samantha Lafantasie!!! I give this book 5 stars!

What an amazingly refreshing and bone-chilling adventure can be found within the pages of this story! It combines some very harsh and challenging obstacles with such depth of heart and soul that you cannot walk away without being touched by it. I was mesmerized by the incredible characters that we discover along the way. There are layers upon layers of secrets and hidden agendas that are only just beginning to be revealed, and I found myself at the edge of my seat the entire time. There is never [...]

I got this book from the author, free of cost, in exchange of an honest review from my side which I’m really thrilled to share with all of you.Firstly I would like to thank Samantha LaFantasie, author of Made to Forget, for giving me this opportunity of reading and reviewing this fabulous book. Here we meet Elsa, who is suffering from memory loss and finds herself in a hospital without any knowledge of why and how she ended up here but she recognises some people who are her friends but do they [...]

I really enjoyed this introduction to Elsabetha, Noah, and the world of the Nepherium. The story was fast-paced and attention-grabbing from the start, with enough "clues" scattered throughout that I felt I was right there with Elsa, trying to figure out what had happened to her.(view spoiler)[My only complaints relate to the ending. The torture scene with Alexander felt rushed and illogical. For example, Alexander has invited a human audience to witness the torture, presumably so that they could [...]

Made To ForgetBy Samantha LaFantasieThe title almost sums up the plot of this novella. When Elsabetha Ellery wakes up in a hospital with no memory of the transporter crash that nearly killed her she finds herself ‘befriended’ by two people who would do anything to keep her from discovering the truth but more importantly, they want to find out what she knows. Set in the twenty fifth century the world is a very different place with the arrival of an alien race, the Nepherium and dark tales of [...]

The novella, Made to Forget by Samantha LaFantasie is a science fiction thriller. I received a free copy of this book in return for my honest review. A first person narrative, the protagonist, Elisabetha, wakes up in the hospital with amnesia after an accident. Elisabetha doesn’t remember very much from the last six years of her life, but she does remember some of the people around her are her friends, while some are plotting against her.The book was an enjoyable and quick read. The thriller p [...]

Imagine waking up from an accident without the one thing that makes you who you are more than anything else. Your memory. That's what Elsabetha Ellery is dealing with in Made To Forget. She has pieces of her memory, as in she knows that she knows things, but she doesn't know how she knows them. As such, she doesn't know who to trust and must rely on her intuition. The book follows the MC as she works to recover her memory, but as several people warn her, what she remembers might get her killed. [...]

Disclaimer: I was given this book, free for honest review, from the author.I want to give this book 3 1/2 stars. Though it had a good story and fairly good editing, it took me a while to get into it. I couldn't decide if I liked the main character, Elsabetha Ellery, or if in fact she could have as much spunk as she had for the condition she was in. Female MC's do best, in my opinion, if they have spunk. Later, when she feels better, her personality rocks! It had been a while since I read the blur [...]

I like this book. Other reviewers have already described the heroine's amnesia and have given enough hints about the plot. To save time -- and because I don't give spoilers -- I won't repeat all of that.I enjoy tales with secrets which are revealed gradually and this book has plenty of those. The author does a nice job of revealing (not too fast or too slow) and the fast-moving plot keeps you turning pages. This book is obviously the first part of a longer story and ends in a cliff-hanger. I like [...]

This action-packed novella, also steeped in a bit of mystery, will keep you turning the pages.I had a very enjoyable outing from my usual fantasy genre stories and read this sci-fi tale about a young woman, Elsa, who loses her memory in a terrible accident--one that was purposefully staged in order to destroy her.She wakes up to a six year gap in memories, strange yet familiar people giving her conflicting accounts, and she doesn't quite know who to trust.I have a more detailed review at my blog [...]

Made to Forget tells the story of Elsabetha who after an accident loses her memory, the story goes through her struggles of regaining her memory and learning who she can and can't trust. The writer did a really good job in making the reader guess which characters were good and which were bad with her writing.I really liked this book. The ending (which I won't give away) I didn't see coming and I am really interested in reading the next book. Some places had odd capitalization which were distractin [...]

This novella is a wonderful read. We learn things right along with the main character who has just lost her memory in an accident. There are many elements that blend well here and Samantha does a great job at giving small clues to Elsabetha's past. It's great to see some mystery in a sci-fi/fantasy read like this. I liked the way Samantha described the way Elsabetha's mind was working. You really feel like you're in the head of the main character as you uncover the bits of memories she has lost. [...]

This is the first book in Ms. LaFantasie’s Nepherium series, and I’m hooked! Mystery, action, suspense, and my favorite, romance, all plays out on the pages like a movie on the big screen. This book is alive with a story that constantly keeps you turning the pages. I’m more than just a little intrigued to know how this unforgettable tale will unfold. I can’t wait to continue the journey with Elsa, Noah, and the rest of the characters. Grab your popcorn and settle in—you are in for a li [...]

WOW, it's been quite a while since I've read a real page turner like this. A young woman survives an accident with resulting amnesia. She was in a precarious position prior to the accident and now she's not sure who to trust or believe. The author has laid the groundwork for an amazing series. She's built into this novella a great deal of information on the characters, background and the current situation."To be continued" had better not take too long, I can't wait to read more!

    17. Devorah Fox

I had a chance to read the ARC. Don't want to spoil the ending for anyone so I'll be circumspect. Having lost her memory because of a traumatic event, the heroine Elsabetha remembers just enough to know something's missing, not enough to keep from wanting to know more and too much to stay out of trouble. People keep telling her to stop mining her memory but can they be trusted? I am enjoying the "clash of cultures" theme that seems to be a hallmark of Samantha's books that I've read so far.

    18. Bonnie Rediske-

What a great book with Twists and Turns galore. You are introduced to the Nepherium and Elsa, the woman who cannot remember the past 6 years. As she struggles through remembering, she does what anyone would do, wander. Nothing seems to trigger for her to remember anything. All she knows is that some unknown man, for some unknown reason, is trying to protect her. Great intrigue in this one! Great story and personality development.

I normally don't read this type of book cause I can't get into it but this book had me from the start. I loved how it took you there as if you were right there with them in the story. It kept you on your toes and I just couldn't put it down. I read this book in less then day and I can't wait for the next installment to come out. :)

I found this book in the bundle entitled - PANDORA. The year is 2452. Elsabeth Ellery has been in an accident and has no memory. She doesn't remember anyone. She doubts those who claim to be friends. She is afraid to go to anyone for help as she tries to put together her broken memories alone. She doesn't know it, but a life hangs in the balance and her memories alone can save that person.

    21. Jim Kratzok

I received this book as part of the Kindle compilation - Pandora but will be reviewing it separately. Finally a sci-fi story I can enjoy in the Pandora compilation!Interesting story line. I was disappointed with the abrupt ending but have bought the next book in the series so I wont have to fret about what happened next.

    22. Stephen Walton

An intriguing story that I couldn't put down. Fast fluid action and great dialogue made this a " must read on" book and now to get my hands on the sequel. Thoroughly enjoyable and worth it's rating. Cliff hanger but worth buying the book

    23. Rayne

I read this as a part of the Pandora Collection. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be following up with the next book. The character development was spot on and the story line intriguing. This book has set the scene for a wonderful series.
