      This was well worth a listen, though I had heard or read most of these stories before. Some well-known actors read the stories, which adds to the appeal. Hugh Laurie read the one about being idle, and did a good job. I just find Saki stories so odd, and I try to like them, but they just leave me with such a strange feeling, like unsettled. Maybe that is the author's intention.For example, one story is about a women who is leading a double life, and in the end when you find out why she is doing [...]

      Enjoyable, clever classic shorts read by various personalities, some more pleasing to the ear than others. Some of the stories I especially enjoyed included "Tobermory," "The Model Millionaire," "Caterpillars," "Lost Hearts," and "The Monkey's Paw." The latter three were rather chilling, and Poe's "The Black Cat" was similar though more gruesome than his "The Tell-Tale Heart."
