I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.I found Casey L. Bond's "Prisoner of Prophecy" to be a creative take on religious doctrine. If you have read scripture, you are familiar with Doubting Thomas and Judas. Bond gave a different spin on their stories by couching them in a prophecy. I can't believe I've never read anything by Casey before! This was really good, I loved the prophesy aspect & the history behind it. The world building was solid and vivid, and the characters were colorful. I'll definitely be reading more by Casey!

I absolutely loved this book. Casey is a wonderful writer. This story starts off as one thing and changes into something completely different. I really thought it was going to revolve around the girls and the whole party like stuff, but no, not Casey. What starts off that way changed into so much more and I loved it. My fav characters are Solara and Riven. I do say the marking part was probably my fav part of the story. I loved how reading I can actually imagine being there and seeing it all tak [...]

The characters were well developed, such that the ones you should love, you love and the ones you should hate or fear, you hate or fear. The storyline is very unique, weaving a past world into a current world to reach a future world. A very interesting spin on phrophetic storytelling. I was presently surprised as the story twiste [...]
