3.5 "The one" StarsI picked this book solely on the cover alone because it fulfilled the requirements for prompt in a reading challenge. I didn't read the little blurb about it or anything, I just went in blind. And surprisingly it was better than I had anticipated it being. The whole twist of the magic/time travel gave a fun and humors aspect to it throughout the entire book. There were times when Ariel's modern world would come out and confuse Caden and those around her. As I wasn't expecting [...]

4.5 stars Reviewby   Kick-ass heroine; hot hero; enchanting tale!!! Was he used to finding women passed out at his feet? He certainly hadn't been worried that she could see under his kilt. by ArielAriel is a Sutherland, even though she doesn't really know what that means. Her only precious possession is her dog, Scruffy. So when she ends up on 18th century Scotland, she is glad Scruffy has gone with her. She is crushing really bad with a very alpha-male Highlander that push all her buttons, [...]

Highland Yearning by Dawn Ireland is a passionate romance filled with mystery, deception, and plenty of action. Ariel Sutherland is a single young woman who works for an insurance company. While investigating a stolen family heirloom, Ariel is magically transported to Scotland sometime during the seventeenth century. Upon arrival she meets the owner of the family heirloom, Caden MacKay, a no nonsense highlander that doesn't trust her because she's a Sutherland. Caden is determined not to like or [...]

Enjoyable time travel romanceIt has been a while since I have read a time travel romance and when I read the synopsis for this story, there was something about that intrigued me. Right from the very first page, I found myself absorbed and it lasted throughout the book. The connection between Ariel and Caden was strong from the very first meeting and I enjoyed their confrontations. I look forward to reading Gavin's story and finding out what his future holds.

Highland YearningMagic and time travel. Have you ever wished to travel back in time? Through the magic of a ring, Ariel was thrust back to the 18th Century. A time when Highlanders were trying to live in relative peace with both other clan as well as the English. I enjoyed this tale. The interaction of the characters is what drew me in. Scruffy, the small dog, played an intricate part of the story. A must read story full of intrigue and mystery.

A lost ring! This was quite an entertaining story but was very slow. I had no difficulty in putting it down to do chores. The editing was good except that, in the author's note, Duchess was spelt Dutchess! An easy read for anyone who likes Scottish, paranormal, time travel romance.

This had everything I love about a story. Time travel, a handsome and available Highlander Laird, as well as, a great backstory. Yes, I enjoyed the journey that the writer laid out in this tale.I am left wondering where Gavin ended up, and there another tale in the telling.

    10. Lorna

Keeps you wondering until the endThere was one question to be answered, would she stay in his time or her own in the end? There are many surprised and twists. I enjoyed this book very much and hope you will also. I wish there was a sequel to this book to see what happened to the one who left.

Finding your way backDawn Ireland has done a excellent job on this story about a man cadon and a woman Ariel she is from the future and he is from the past. I give this story a five star rating because of this story I feel in love with this story because of the story about a ring that brought this woman to the past and she tries to get back

Love Across the CenturiesDawn Ireland is a new author for me. Since I love the idea of "time travel", and always love a sexy Highlander, this made a good combination. It contained enough innocent, yet steamy sex, without extreme. I look forward to reading other stories by Dawn Ireland.

I Real SurpriseThis book was so enjoyable, no it's not thought provoking, but it is entertaining. I had a hard time putting this book down. Loved the characters, interesting storyline and nice light reading!

Time traveling into a clan that's feuding with your ancestors with a mystery of a magic ring, a sneaky plot & someone's trying to kill you with some steamy passion. This is an adventure that's worth taking. The trusty dog is a welcome addition to the caste of characters.

    15. Heather

Time travel Lovely book. Ariel Sutherland ur typical modern gal, thrown back in time to land at the mckay feet during time of being clan enemies. Secrets amongst the clan and now her a future Sutherland in the mix highly enjoyed

    16. Rhonda Platts

Great bookIf you like time travel romances then this is the book for you. It had a good storyline and Camden and Ariel connected well and had great chemistry. This is the first book that I've read from Ms. Ireland and I definitely will read more of her work.

AReal FamilyThe author did a good job of showing the correlation of family and clan in the life of a young woman who had never had a family. The eighteenth century culture is supported by history and sprinkled with just enough twenty_first century lingo to make it enjoyable.

    18. Sarah

WowEverything in this novel was laid out perfectly and it was an easy read. The wit and sass is very charming as well. Can’t wait for the next one.

EnjoyableA lovely time travel fantasy with family secrets, clan challenges, and of course true love. Who can you trust, certainly not greedy clams who want more land.

    26. Maia Silverdagger

Absolutely enthralling! After reading the first book in this saga, I was completely blown away by this one! From the very beginning, I was captivated and immediately thrown into a completely enchanting story of time travel, steamy love and adventure! The storyline was very original and the author keeps everything pretty historically accurate as you're immersed into Highland clans and their social structures. The main character Caden just about burned my pants off - he's the embodiment of my ever [...]

Ariel Sutherland is given a gift, albeit on loan, by a sexy stranger with a sexier Scottish brogue who appears on her doorstep amidst a swirling fog—of course. If you like The Outlander, you’re going to love Highland Yearning by Dawn Ireland. Ariel Sutherland, accompanied by her darling dog, Scruffy, travels back in time with the aid of said gift, the Ring of Belief (rather than a ring of stones as in The Outlander’s magic stone) where Ariel encounters some very interesting characters, inc [...]

    28. The Book Junkie Reads . . .

Hot. Hunky. Highlander. That was all that was needed to get me to the begin reading this one. I love highlanders. A hot sexy brogue makes me all tingly. Time travel, historical Scotland, hot male, modern female, and a dog named Scruffy. I had much fun getting know both Ariel and Caden. I enjoyed the fun and the adventure. This was a good read. I do want to have more from the others of the book or just from this series period. Ariel and Caden find that love can transcend time and family feuds, in [...]

UncagedBooksThe book has an interesting storyline, and a good amount of suspense coming from more than one source. Will Ariel be able to stay in the 18th Century or will she be vanish at any time? Who’s trying to kill her and why? Will Caden’s brother enter into a loveless marriage? And just what happened to the ring? The romance here brews slowly, and it keeps the reader engaged. A nice twist on the Highlander genre.Read the full review in the December issue of Uncaged Book Reviews.
