4.5 stars. It lost half a star because I really wanted an epilogue. I wanted to see where she went next, what she did with her life. I barged right into book two to see if she made some kind of appearance there, but no. Oh, wellThis is DiAnn Mills at her best, with a whole group of suspects that might be involved in Paige's case. I loved the questioning of everyone and everything and kept turning all the pages until the very end!

This is a really great book. I thoroughly enjoyed it!Living in small-town Oklahoma myself, I really appreciate when an author can at least semi-accurately portray life in small-town OK. DiAnn Mills portrayed it well; I wasn't constantly saying to myself how unrealistic and unbelievable this book was.I'll definitely be reading this one again when I get a chance.

On June 3 I shared just how much I was enjoying this book. And was very excited when the author stopped by and left a comment it. (I still am amazed at how many authors have stopped by and commented. Really cool!)The book finished as well as it started. DiAnn Mills created characters that are easy to love. Miles is lovable and easy to cheer for as both a football coach and a “bo” for Paige. Paige is just a great character with so much depth. As a new Christian she struggles with her past, he [...]

I really enjoyed reading this romantic suspense. You get pulled into Paige Rogers’ world in a small town in Oklahoma. She’s the local librarian who can handle whatever is thrown at her because she was a CIA operative who “died” in Africa on a mission. Split Creek, Oklahoma is a quiet small town, not anything like what Paige was used to, but surprisingly she settled into her life, enjoying her job as the town librarian. But some of the people of the town aren’t who they seem to be. Some [...]

If the author didn't spend about half of this book trying to convince me to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord & Savior, I think it would have been a better book to read. Honestly, I could cut out every sentence regarding religion in this book and it would be shorter (probably a plus) and also would have been a better book as the religion contained in the book felt forced - almost as if the author didn't believe it either but wanted to add some depth to the characters - and wasn't at all necessa [...]

Written from a Christian perspective, I liked that this book didn't have a lot of inappropriate stuff. However, I never found the story line to be very imaginative nor believeable.

    7. Willow

This was one of the worst books I ever forced myself to finish. It wasn't just the heavy handed "I'm a Christian and therefore a good person" overtone of the book that made it so bad. Okay, I get it, they're Christians, can you please stop mentioning it every third sentence? A book can be a Christian novel without it being mentioned throughout. I mean, the author should assume that their readers have a modicum of intelligence and can figure out that, yes, this a pious and upright individual who [...]

My Review From inkwellreviews I had read some of Diann Mills latest books and I figured the I would give one of her older ones a try. I would label this as a “slow suspense novel”. Sure, it had its fair share of action, but It wasn’t a book that keeps you reading until all hours of the night. As far as “ease of reading goes”, sometimes I didn’t know what was going on. At times it seemed like it was kind of all over the place. One thing unique about this, is that you really got to kno [...]

Had to force myself to finish this book. Wanted to see if it got better and need resolution for the unfortunate main character. There were many holes in the plot. Ex-CIA, Christian, small town librarian. The main character is trying to be covert and hide her former life but having conversations with the villian of her former life in public so all can hear. She's supposed to be tough but allows the villian to control her life for 7 years. I won't go into the rest so as not to spoil for those who [...]

Picked it up as a free book on my Kindle, but I only finished it because I hate not finishing something I've started to read. Too overloaded with references to Christianity for me to stomach. Seemed to be the main agenda of the book, other than the plot of the story itself. Maybe the author was trying to provide the character with some depth, but it just wasn't necessary. I really doubt it is that much of a moral dilemma for a Christian to be a CIA agent. No suspense, awful dialogue. Main charac [...]

I couldn't get into this book at all. It was very slow-moving. It wasn't so much that the author was building up background, but the whole plot line was slow. There was no background build-up that I'm used to seeing in books that take a while to get good.

    12. Charlotte

Bleck! I hated this book. Unrealistic dialogue. Dumb premise. A really bad pitch at converting the reader to Christianity. Every other page was a prayer or espoused some neo-Christian doctrine. Don't recommend at all.

    13. Chaplain Stanleigh Chapin

A little mystery, a little religion, a little romanceNot enough of any of them to be much more than just a novel. not much intrigue and fairly predictable

    14. Susan

This is a christian romantic suspense. It was almost fast moving and pretty exciting. The characters we're very likable and real. Clean good read, almost a 4 star.

    15. Alissa

I was duped by once again. Halfway through the book it quickly turned from a suspence novel to having the authors religious views shoved down your throat

    16. Sherri

Great book!Breach of Trust by DiAnn Mills is a great book! It was interesting and exciting to read how or if Paige would work past the obstacles she faced. I’m looking forward to the sequel!

    17. Abbie

Enjoy!!This story the first responders I've read a book by this author and it won't let my last either! The character development was awesome and more than that Diann Miles writes with a voice that is like no one else that I have read in this genre of inspirational romantic suspense.

DiAnn Mills has a gift for heart-pounding, can't-put-it-down suspense! After reading her newest book, Firewall, I decided to go back and read some of her older stories. Breach of Trust from 2010 is a case in point. I started this book yesterday morning and finished it at 3:30 AM today. What a story!Paige Rogers is the sweet librarian in the tiny town of Split Creek, Oklahoma. She bakes delectable treats for the Thursday Senior citizens book club and is a faithful member of the Baptist Church in [...]

Paige Rogers, the librarian in a small Oklahoma town, is a lovable character before and after we learn she is really Mikaela Olsson, a former CIA operative the world thought had been killed in the line of duty. Daniel Keary, the person responsible for her early retirement, is about to become the governor of the state with ambitions for higher office. When Paige sets out to stop him, she is reinstated as a CIA operative and she reluctantly accepts the help of the local high school coach, Miles La [...]

Breach of Trust is a Christian romantic suspense novel. It is an excellent, pulse-pounding suspense novel with interesting characters. The pacing and tension levels were excellent, drawing me to read on when I really should have been turning off the light to go to sleep. While there was tension from several fronts (like her growing relationship with Miles, the local high school football coach, and the conflicts he had to deal with), the main tension was between Paige and Keary. The characters wer [...]
