Rachel Edmiston has written a lovely book about a little scraggly, scruffy dog who wants a home. When he does not get picked by visitors and all of his brothers and sisters do, he decides to take things in his own paws. He goes in search of a warm and comfortable home in which to live. Buddy Finds a Home is the quest by the little puppy as he looks for his ideal family. “However, Buddy did not only want a home; he wanted a boy. A boy he could run and play with outside. A boy he could cuddle at [...]

Buddy just wants a loving family with a little boy that [...]

This story of how one family found a very imperfect dog and how he made a perfect addition to their family is a good lesson in how love can overlook differences. My six year old daughter truly enjoyed the book, especially when she realized it was a true story. I would recommend this book for children 6 to 8.
